Mrs. Betty Ann Penuel was my 5th grade teach in 2000-2001 and a great mentor. I would not be where I am today in my life and career without her dedication she gave my peers and I. When I think back on the teachers and mentors in my life she has and will always be in my memories. I only spent a year with Mrs. Penuel, but what she taught me has carried me through these years. Later on in life, I found I had learning disabilities. Which resulted in me taking longer to grasp ideas and meanings. Mrs. Penuel spent that extra time with me to make sure I never gave up, even when my peers would move on without me. Mrs. Betty Ann Penuel was one of them “great teachers” you hear songs and stories about. I only hope other teachers and people in mentoring positions took notes from her. Mrs. Penuel, without a doubt, help me in my greatest time of need. Her help lead me to graduate highest honors in High School and later graduate from University of North Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Without Mrs. Penuel's help in my early educational life, I would not be where I am today. She was a great lady and wonderful teacher.

Thank you Mrs. Betty Ann Penuel you will be missed but never forgotten.
