Betty Ellen "Nanny" Kolb, 85, of Ocala, FL, passed away at her home of 40 years on June 28, 2015. Betty was born October 18, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio to John and Wilda (Fox) Karr. She moved to Daytona Beach, FL from Ohio in 1960 where she worked as a nurse and restaurant owner. She married Ret. Fire Captain Richard "Dick" Kolb in 1965 and in 1975 she moved with her husband and daughter to Ocala. Betty was a homemaker for many years before returning to work as a manager of the Kmart restaurant. After her retirement, Betty enjoyed volunteering at Ward-Highlands Elementary School and spoiling her grandson. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She is preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Betty leaves behind her husband, Richard H. Kolb, her daughter, Richelle Kolb Heath (Ocala, FL), her step-daughters Robin Kolb Fitchett (Holly Hill, FL), Bonnie Kolb Steinberg (Ormond Beach, FL), and Barbara White Westlund (Franklin, NC), one grandson, Marvin R. Davis, seven step-grandchildren, Brandon Steinberg, Kevin Kolb, Tiffany Tolley, Colleen Fitchett, Carrie Westlund, Jennifer Lucas, Shelly Fountain, and nine step-great grandchildren.
