She taught for many years and spent the last several years of her working life as a Principal at WJ Maxey Boys Training School. At the Villages she kept active, creating and teaching “Giggles and Shakes” exercise class. She loved spending time with her family, playing cards, doing crossword puzzles and playing with her dog “Teddy”.

She is Survived by her Husband, Wayne Deighton of the Villages; daughter, Robyn Deighton, of Grand Island, FL.; son, David (Karen) Deighton, of Linden, MI.; and son, Jeremy (Heather) Deighton, of Marion, MI.; and 4 grandchildren; Joshua, Alison, Derek and Jared, and 3 sisters

We wish we had known Betty. This obituary paints a picture of a wonderful woman who worked and played hard, loved her family, and left a positive and lasting impression on family, friends, and students. Knowing Robyn to be a kind, intelligent, and generous person, we know she must have been a fabulous mother, as well. We send our condolences to the entire family and hope that good memories will ease your grief. Lots of love, hugs, and prayers....
