With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty B. Tuggle, age 75, of Ocala, Florida who passed away on March 20,2024 at Summerfield, Florida after a courageous battle with cancer. Betty was born on March 16. 1949 to her parents, James A Bennett, Sr and Betty Jane (Puddy) Bennett in Miami, Florida. She graduated from Miami Coral Park Senior High in 1967 followed by attending business school in downtown Miami. She worked as a telephone operator and for the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles for the Drivers Licensing department while in South Florida.

She moved to Marion County, Florida in 1981 where she established her residency for the last 42 years. She continued her employment with the State of Florida as an administrative assistant in the licensing division for the Department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. Her family and friends will always remember her as a caring and loyal person with an energetic spirit!

Betty is survived by her daughter, Hollie Saul (Brett) of Pierson, Florida; son, Jason Tuggle (Kristy); brother, John S Bennett (Linda) of Orlando, Florida; sister, Patrica Weems (Buddy) of Burleson, Texas; four grandchildren, Weston Saul, Abbey Tuggle, Kylee Tuggle, Landon Tuggle; great granddaughter, Westlynn Saul; and six nephews and two nieces.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James A Bennett Sr and Betty J Bennett; brothers, James A Bennett Jr, Milo Corr Bennett; granddaughters, Nicole and Ashley Powell; and nephew, James A Bennett III.
