Obituary

Betty A. Wenzel, age 90, passed away on October 9th, 2022 in The Villages, Florida. Preceded
in death by her husband Richard Wenzel. Dear mother of Darla Stocks (Jeff, deceased), Karen
Kloehn (Russ), and Alan Wenzel. Further survived by six grandchildren and ten great
grandchildren.

Betty was born September 19th, 1932 in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin to Henry and Mollie Krutsch.
She had one brother ( Walter, deceased). Betty attended high school her senior year in
Menomonee Falls graduating in 1950. That is where she met Richard through a mutual friend.
They were married September 29th 1951 and had three children. They were together over 70
years.

Betty was an avid reader. She loved to crochet and knit and made afghans, sweaters and hats
for her family. She loved playing cards or games with family and friends. She was a good
cook and baker. A family tradition was to get together and spend a full day baking Christmas
cookies.

Betty worked for many years in market research. She developed an interest in antiquing and
eventually opened a store. After moving to Fort Myers she worked in several dress shops.
Betty was very happy when the family would visit in Fort Myers especially the grandchildren
and great grandchildren. Betty loved Fort Myers where she made many good friends.

    I am glad that I was able to move to Fort Myers a few years ago and be able to spend time with my Aunt. She was always fun to be with and willing to help whenever she could. She was a good friend to my dad and me and we spent hours chatting, laughing, playing cards, and watching Packer games. I will miss you Aunt Betty...
