augie - i was thinking about bev and decided to do a web search and catch up with her, maybe try to contact her. this, to my shock, was what i found. i don't know if you are contacted when a new signature comes in, but i want you to know how very saddened i feel by the announcment of your sister's passing. she was too young to have been taken. too smart, too savvy. she made an impact on all our lives.

Augie and (Mom whom I've never met) ,
This is Colleen O'Connor. I was Bererly's roommate at the University of Florida for many years. I lost touch with Bev in about 1994-95, when I moved to Buffalo, N.Y. I hadn't heard from her in a while and I search her out through your dad. He called her and told her to call me. It was a very strange call. Something had happened to her...?? She called and said, I'm away somewhere and our call is being recorded...I want you to always remember that I will always love you." I have remembered those words for years. I had tried to contact her but was unsuccessful. I don't know what happened to her to think that I would not accept her no matter what happened. Bev has been on my mind endlessly for over a month and tonight I decided to search for her. I am stunned to find out that she is gone.
I never got to let her know that no matter what I loved her. She loved my daughter,Shannon, who is now 21. Many pics w her and ur dad. i am also saddened to learn that your dad has passed. He was quite a man. Artie, Augie as u are known, can you give me a call at 716-444-3854 or drop me an email please. I am so sad as you must be. My love for her is with you. Colleen

Just yesterday morning they let me know you were gone......but I always thought I'd see you again.... My heart goes out to her family and all of her friends. Beverly wasn't just special, she was LOVE, heaps and WADS of it!! I feel fortunate that we just recently saw each other, never thinking it would be for the last time here. She met my girls, we made plans... I loved Beverly dearly, I will miss her immensely, this news has just blindsided me. I have a heart full of memories.....rest in peace my friend, and know that you are loved.

OMG - I have many memories of Bev, from Lil Abner, at UF, and on to the justice building downtown. Wow. I'm late at offering sympathies, but absolutely stunned. I have a photo album of hers that I've always meant to return...I'll pray for her family.

Beverly and I performed together in 1976 in a production of Li'l Abner at South Miami Jr. High. She was sweet and beautiful as Daisy Mae, just as she was sweet and beautiful as herself. So long ago, but the memory is still so fresh. So sad to know she's gone. Wishing strength and peace to the family.
