Obituary

Unexpectedly, Beverly Holcomb passed away on November 26, 2020, Thanksgiving morning. Although Beverly’s heart stopped, her soul raised to the heavens to be with The Lord. The emotional, spiritual, physical and mental part of her life down here is gone, but the next part of her life is in Heaven with God and the peace and serenity that comes with it.

Beverly was born on June 17, 1938 in Atlanta, GA. Her parents were Richard E Reynolds and Mattie Sue Reynolds. Although they had to move a few times, they and their daughter, Beverly (only child) were true southerners. Beverly was active in her schooling until her Northside High School graduation in Atlanta.

Beverly married in 1957 to Robert M Martin III. Due to his career as a pilot in the USAF, Beverly became a housewife taking care of the housing needs and taking care of their 2 children and yes, “Skippy”, the Boston Terrier dog.

Beverly was married again in 1977 to William Randal Holcomb. It was then that Beverly started working in sales for the Sears Company. She later moved to Naples, FL and made the transition to become a Paralegal where she would do the subsidiary legal matter, but not fully qualify as a lawyer. She loved her job and enjoyed dealing with so many different people. Beverly and her husband, Randal, were together for over 42 years.

Beverly is survived by her children Kimberly Carson (daughter) and Charles “Rick” Martin (son), and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Beverly R Holcomb will be laid to rest next to William R Holcomb in the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.

This picture is the beautiful Beverly I remember when she and her family lived next door to us in Buckhead. I knew then brother Bob was smitten. I hadn't seen her in years, but It sounds as if she and Randall had a long and happy life. You, Rick, were blessed to be near her when she left this world to be with Jesus. You are in my prayers.
