My mother at Crosscreek 2016
I was going to order you a DVD of a movie I recommended to you just a few weeks ago...now you're not here to watch it. I saw a funny meme this morning...and my first instinct was to send it in a message. I don't even remember what it was...just that it made me laugh, so I thought it would make you laugh, too. But now you're not here to see it. I want you to know it's going to take me a long time to get used to your not being around. The times I want to reach out, I have to remind myself you're not there. I hope you sleep well. I hope you know that you made a difference...you left a mark on other lives that can't be erased. I hope you know that a lot of people loved you -- love you still -- and feel like the world is a little less of a place without you in it. You were a good friend...honest...outspoken...fun. No one could ask for more.
