Obituary

Billy James Sides, Jr. was born on December 16th, 1956 to Billy and Julia Sides in North Carolina. Bill spent the majority of his life living in Central Florida.

In 1987, he met his loving wife Jeannie. Bill and Jeannie went on to have one child, Rachel whom he loved dearly.

Bill recently retired after working for Mitsubishi Power Systems where he was an accomplished welder and quality control expert.  Prior to working for Mitsubishi, Bill worked at Control Center LLC, and White Laboratories in Orlando, Fl.

Bill was passionate for spending time outside and anything that produced horsepower.  In younger years, he was an avid lover of watersports and motorcycles.  His hobbies included souping up and racing cars, tinkering in his shop, working with his tractor and doing yard work, as well as helping anyone who asked with a household or auto project.  Bill was a very kind person who would jump at the chance to help anyone in need.  Without question, Bill was a true friend who cared deeply and never failed to share his opinion or expertise.

Bill was predeceased by his father, Billy James Sides Sr.  He is survived by his wife Jeannie, his daughter Rachel, his mother Julia,  two sisters, Debbie and Sheila, and numerous nieces and nephews.  A memorial will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 16th at Baldwin Brothers Funeral & Cremation Society at 2036 Sprint Blvd., Suite #10, in Apopka, Fl.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to AdventHealth Hospice Care, located at 480 W. Central Pkwy in Altamonte Springs, FL.

I want to express my most sincere condolences to the Bill's family. I was there today and saw the sadness but all the love for him expressed by family and friends. I was sitting up front and looked at the photos on the TV and it reminded me of all the conversations that Bill and I had at Mitsubishi. He was my sanity, it was awesome to converse with someone who had the same interests. I apologize for not speaking, but I process sadness in my own way. With respect and regards Fred Rosberg

I worked with Bill at Mitsubishi power, he taught me about The inspection portion of compressor blade components. He loved getting a laugh out of people by telling joke after joke and sharing his sweet snacks. One of the most genuine souls I’ve had the pleasure to know. He will definitely be missed. ❤️
