Blenda Jane Avignone, 92, of New Smyrna Beach died Thursday, March 5, 2009 at her home.  Mrs. Avignone was born October 19, 1916 in Memphis, TN.  She and her husband, Joe who preceded her in death owned a pharmacy in Long Island.  After her husband’s death Mrs. Avignone moved to South Florida before moving to this area 35 years ago.  Blenda is of Swedish decent and was a dog lover.  She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Sparky Millard of Edgewater; two nieces, Sherry Awsumb and Patricia Jester; two nephews, Brian and Randall Millard and many grand nieces and nephews.  Cremation
