Bobbie Jo Mitchell, 71, of New Smyrna Beach, Fl passed away at home on January 1, 2021 surrounded by family. She was born in Alabama and was a long-time resident of New Smyrna Beach. She worked at council on aging for 27 years and she always treated her clients like family. Bobbie Jo loved to cook and shop in store and online. Bobbie loved being with her family and grandchildren. Bobbie also enjoyed doing all the newest dances with her grandchildren and listening to R&B and Hip Hop music. Her family will remember her for her caring nature, hilarious humor and how VERY outspoken and dedicated to her family she was. She leaves behind her husband, Willie James Mitchell (POP); 2 sons, Keith Lawayne Purdie I, Cornelius Anthony Mitchell (Lil POP); daughter, Olivia Faye Bryant; grandchildren, Ebony Bryant-Tarpley, Davarez Bryant, Maligah Mitchell-Walker, Montana Mitchell; great grands Jamar Fox,JR , Keith Lawayne Purdie II, Tiye Aurion Barriner,Keiany Jo Purdie, Ashton Tarpley, Ta’Liyah Jae walker, Startavious Tarpley and Khamiah James Purdie. Services will be private.
