Bonnie Joyce Neale, 78, of Port Orange, Florida, passed from this life on July 11, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, Robert Neale, of Port Orange, Florida, her son, Michael Neale, of McKinney, Texas, and her daughter, Joy Elizabeth Lynn, of Longwood, Florida, her sister, Becki Hudson of Port Orange, Florida, and her eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her father, William L. Hudson, and mother Elizabeth Ross Hudson, of Deland, Florida.

Bonnie was born on July 10, 1944, in Akron, Ohio, to parents William and Betty Hudson.  She graduated from Springfield High School in 1962.  She moved to Newport, Rhode Island and accepted a position as a secretary at Newport Hospital.

Bonnie was a devoted wife and a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She married her beloved husband Bob Neale in 1969 and the couple had two children together.  Bonnie was deeply involved in her church and gospel music for the majority of her life. She enjoyed handbell choir, church choir, and playing the organ and piano.  Her family and friends will always remember her as a Godly woman who served God in many churches as well as serving her family.

A memorial service is scheduled for Bonnie at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at Stetson Baptist Church, located at 1025 West Minnesota Avenue, Deland, Florida 32720, with a reception to follow in the fellowship building.  Bonnie’s son Michael Neale will be bringing some music.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bonnie’s life.

I grew up with Bonnie at Fundamental Baptist Church in Tallmadge. I looked up to her cause she was older, she played the piano and sang in the quartet with our brother Bill, Jonesie and Gene Riddle. Loved her mom, who frequently sand beautiful solos. My heart goes out to Becky and Bonnie’s family. I will be praying for your family.
