Obituary

August 11, 1952 – March 6, 2014 Brenda Bostic was a giver ...of life, love, and laughs. She never met a stranger. From the moment you met her, she touched your heart and made you feel loved. She spent many years relentlessly pursuing information regarding Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP) and true to her nature, founded the FAP International Foundation as a service to others. She created the website (fapinfo.com) so that individuals could easily access the latest information and treatments; a place where those dealing with the disease could contact others who shared the same experiences. Brenda loved her family more than herself. Brenda's guiding hand was always present; she was sought out when family members needed encouragement, inspiration, or a nudge in the right direction. Her wreath of smiles frequently recounted the escapades of her godchildren Katherine, Jacob, Andrew, and Sarah.  Brenda was also a successful businesswoman with MetLife in Naples, Florida. The Naples community recognized Brenda's achievements by naming her Woman of the Year. Ever-present was her desire to serve others. Whether she was raising one million dollars for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life event, offering keen insight to a challenging issue, or delivering a meal to a home bound community member, Brenda was there for you. Her motto....Live Life to the Fullest! Brenda was born ....... and grew up in Laurel, Mississippi. She lived for many years in Naples, FL, and Maitland, Fl.  She was preceded in death by her father Chester T. Ulmer and brother Charles T. Ulmer.  Brenda is survived by her loving family members: mother Vera Wade of Laurel, Mississippi; brother Larry T. Ulmer of Dallas, Texas; nieces Kristen Ulmer, Stephanie Hendry and daughter Madison; Andrea Lancaster and son Daniel; nephews Robert Ulmer and three sons Sawyer, Maclane and Ralston; Christopher Smith and extended family members David and Shawna Webb and her godchildren Katherine, Jacob, Andrew, and Sarah. A memorial service will be held...... at 5:00PM First United Methodist Church Winter Park Chapel located at 125 N. Interlachen Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789
