Obituary
Brenda Joan Lewis, 75, of Fort Myers, FL went to be with her Lord on October 23, 2023. Brenda was born May 27, 1948 in Chicago, IL to Herbert and Gladys Lockyer, the second of two daughters. Brenda lived in Chicago until the age of five and then moved to Wheaton, IL. She graduated from Wheaton Central High School in 1966.
Brenda accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1957 while attending a Billy Graham crusade in Madison Square Garden in New York. Brenda married Larry Lewis, whom she met in high school, in August 1968. They attended the Wheaton Bible Church where they helped start the Couples for Christ Sunday school class with a few other couples.
In 1996 Brenda and Larry moved to Edwards, CO and attended The Vail Church. In 2017 they moved to a warmer climate in Fort Myers, FL and enjoyed attending Sanibel Community Church.
Brenda was creative and always liked art. She painted and made crafts. She had a folk-art business named Sonshine Crafts for several years. Brenda loved beauty and delighted in hosting family and friends with welcoming table settings and delicious food. Brenda and Larry loved to travel and were planners of many vacations with family and friends.
Brenda loved her family with a selfless, kind servant heart and cherished time with her family and friends.
Brenda is survived by her husband Larry, son David (Emily) and grandchildren Jackson, Zachary and Gracie and son Daniel, brother-in- law Lee (Nancy), sister-in-law Lynette (Max), sister-in-law Louanne (Mark) and many nephews and nieces. She is also survived by her sister Karen (Jack) and their children and spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is interred at Wheaton Cemetery, Wheaton, IL.
