Obituary
Brian Howard Koch, 59, of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Oswego and Yorkville Illinois passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at his home. He was born February 27, 1964, in Aurora, IL to Dr. Howard and Helen Koch.
He started his career as a Correctional Officer for the Illinois Department of Corrections and then went to work at Rush Copley Medical Center in Aurora, IL. It was here at Copley that he met Tricia and they began dating. It was not long before he proposed and they spent the next 17 years together.
Brian was an avid collector of antique farm equipment die cast, antique oil cans and hockey paraphernalia.
Brian is survived by his wife of 17 years, Tricia (Overmyer) Koch of Ft. Myers, FL, a sister, his mother-in-law, Donna Fatten of Yorkville, IL, a brother-in-law, Todd (Colleen) Overmyer of Romeoville, IL, a sister-in-law, Traci (Stephen) Hart of Yorkville, IL, and two nephews, Zachary Overmyer of Chugiak, AK and Bradley Overmyer of Shorewood, IL.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dr. Howard Koch, DVM and his mother, Helen Koch.
A memorial service will be held in Brian’s home town of Oswego, IL at a later date.
