Obituary

Bruce John Listorti passed away peacefully at the age of 73 on Thursday the 25th of August 2022 after a long battle with cancer. Born June 8, 1949 to John and Mary Listorti, he grew up in Milford, Connecticut with his brother, Gary Listorti.

He graduated college from the University of Texas, El Paso with a Bachelor’s degree in Business.  Working in the automotive industry for many years, Bruce’s career brought him to live in many states including Indiana and Louisiana. He eventually permanently resided in Orlando, Florida where he has spent the last 40 years.

Bruce was talented in creating relationships and friendships everywhere he went. He was well respected in his industry and relished the connections he made with people across the country. He, in fact, traveled so much for work that he journeyed through 49 states visiting all but Montana. In his short retirement, Bruce loved cruising and traveling with his friends to different countries.

Along with his love for business and travel, Bruce’s favorite hobbies were riding his Harley with his friends, snow skiing, and boating. He also loved going to trivia night with friends and watching college football.

Bruce is survived by his brother Gary Listorti, children Jason Listorti and Lisa Gibson, granddaughter Angela Christensen, his former wife and friend Gloria Lawless, step-daughters Stefanie Alsafeer and Kim Williams, nieces Nicole Listorti and Ashley Listorti, and nephew, Steven Listorti. He is also predeceased in death his mother and father, May & John Listorti, and his former wife, Beverly Listorti.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bruce’s Life on Sunday September 11th at Fish Bones Restaurant: 7005 Co Rd 46A, Lake Mary, FL 32746. The celebration will start at 5:00 p.m. Please contact Gary Listorti (203-414-4064), Stefanie Alsafeer (407-529-9787), or Jason Listorti (267-969-0735) to confirm your attendance as the venue has limited space. Hey brother, may you rest in peace and enjoy the presence of the Lord.... You wont need those hard-earned miles any more as this is the greatest trip of all! God bless.... and... don't worry you don't have to pay me the five dollars you borrow from me five years ago.

I'm so sad to hear that Bruce has passed. I went to J Law with him. We had such a nice conversation last month, it was like we'd just been in Charlie Bristol's history class together that morning. Bruce was determined to live every minute of the life he loved. He was a good man, left us too soon. My sincerest condolences to Bobby and family.
