Obituary

Candace K Sherman, 62, of Daytona Beach, went home to the Lord peacefully at Sandalwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center on June18, 2019.  “Candy” was born in Washington, DC on September 24, 1956. She lived a full life and spread joy and happiness to family and friends for many years. Candy is predeceased in death by her parents William B. and Doreen N. Sherman, and is survived by brothers Eric, Stephen, Martin, and sister, Tina Holland. She is also survived by twelve nephews and nieces, two great nieces, and two great nephews. Candy loved swimming, classic TV shows, oldies music, coloring, and doing puzzles. Most of all, she was a loving caregiver to her three nephews Stephen, James, and Robert, whom she resided with for many years.  Candy enjoyed spending time with her best friends Pauline Meyer (mom-mom), and Katelyn (Katie) Mason. Stephen and Catherine Sherman would like to thank all of the staff at Sandalwood for all of their personal love and care, as well as Kindred Hospice for all of the love, care, and compassion they gave Candy during her final days.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on July 6, 2019 at Epiphany Catholic Church in Port Orange at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the activities department at Sandalwood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 1001 South Beach Street, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
