Carl A. Bieber, 89, passed away on March 25, 2021, in Fort Myers, FL. Carl was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey in 1931, to Charles Greer Bieber, Sr., and Viola Marie Hopper Bieber. He grew up in and around the Pennsylvania and New Jersey area. He married Barbara Anderson in 1951, who preceded him in death. They had four children, Jeffery. Cynthia, Nancy; and Scott.
Carl worked for an international engineering firm for 16 years before moving to Florida, and lived in the Midwest during that time. He worked on many engineering and construction projects, including Calumet Harbor in Chicago, Dan Ryan Expressway, a marina design in Milwaukee, and design work for I-70 over the Mississippi River.
After moving to Florida in 1967, he became a state licensed general contractor and a real estate broker. Carl was married to Karen in 1983. They formed Gulf Harbor Development in Bonita Springs, along with his brother, Chuck, and his wife, Helen, building over hundreds of homes and many commercial buildings. Carl and his wife, Karen, also owned and operated Gulf Air Realty in Bonita Springs until he retired.
Survivors include his wife, Karen, of 38 years, his children: Jeffrey of Arizona, Cynthia of Ft. Lauderdale, Nancy of Fort Myers, and Scott of Thailand; three step-children: Denise, Danielle and Deborah; and sister-in-law Helen. Twelve grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren also survive. Carl was preceded in death by his brother, Chuck and his step-son, Kevin. Services will be announced at a later date.
