Carl Egon Trebing
April 21, 1928 – February 15, 2019
Carl Egon Trebing, 90 years of age, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Ocala Health and Rehabilitation Center. Carl was born in Grossalmerode, Germany, on April 21, 1928 above his Grandfather’s bakery. Carl was the son of William and Margaret (Wollenhaupt) Trebing.
The family moved to New Jersey in 1933. Carl attended Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck and was a Veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War.
Later moving to Northwest New Jersey, he and his wife Mimi bred and showed German Shepherd Dogs for 20 years and enjoyed trail riding on their two Quarter Horses. In 1999 they moved to Ocala, Florida and Carl retired from his business, Kitchen Services Corp. that installed stainless steel commercial kitchens.
Carl is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marietta Louise “Mimi” (Shields) Trebing, a daughter: Carla Louise (Trebing) Downey and her husband Roger and two grandchildren Logan and Camryn Downey. Carl is now with his beloved dog, Mickey, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. “We Miss You So Much”.
