Carl W Burkhart, Jr, 57, Edgewater FL died Monday, September 21, 2009.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 30 years Sue, a son Brandon Charles Burkhart of Edgewater, father Carl, Sr, sister Debbie Rosenberg, brother Kevin all of Pittsburgh and his two beloved pups Domino and Roxy.
Carl was baptised June 2007 as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Impaired by a wheelchair, and legally blind, still now enjoyed, fellowship, field service, attended 5 meetings weekly by conference calls. Attended our recent Assembly in Kissimmee, Fl and past Sunday meeting. He will be missed by fellow brother and sisters. He is and will continue to be an encouragement & example to us all by his dedication to his faith in Jehovah God.
Carl was born in Pittsburgh, PA and came to Edgewater FL in 1985. He received his Bachelors Degree in Journalism from Point Park in Pittsburgh. He served as Media Coordinator at Hunt Library at Embry Riddle University for the past 13 years. During his tenure at ERAU he received the Innovation Award from the University. Some of his many interests include his love for music and films. He played rhythm guitar for the band Eternity for the past 20 years. He also produced the film “Lifeless”. In addition to being an avid movie buff, he enjoyed stamp collecting and video production.
Voluntary donations are accepted at any local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness’.
Services are planned for next week at Kingdom Hall Edgewater.
Baldwin Brothers Cremation Society 1 North Causeway New Smyrna Beach FL 32169 is in charge of cremation arrangements.
I am so sorry to hear of Carl's passing but believe in my heart that he is in a truly better place and smiling down on you and Brandon. It was a pleasure knowing and working with him and I wish only the best for you and your family. Your faith will get you through this difficult time will comfort you when times are rough.
