Obituary

Carla Jean Mace, 65, of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away on March 20, 2016 at her residence. Carla was born on July 12, 1950 in Plattsburgh, New York to the late Gerald Franklin Mace Sr. and Margaret Teresa Sawyer. She was a homemaker and she enjoyed playing cards with her friends, doing puzzles and spending time with her family. Carla is survived by her two sons, Kyle Mace and Cory Mace; her niece, Crystal Abner; her four sisters, Priscilla Watson, Robin Burke, Rita Coons, and Karen Garrow; her mother, Margaret Sawyer; her grandchildren Demas, Demyis, Hunter, Koda, Crystiana, and Parker Mace; and many great nieces and nephews. Carla was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Franklin Mace Sr., and her brother, Gerald Mace, Jr. Memorial donations may be made in memory of Carla to the Vitas Hospice.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the Baldwin Brothers Heritage Chapel, 1185 W. Granada Blvd, Unit 11, Ormond Beach, FL. Arrangements are in the care and trust of Baldwin Brothers Funerals & Cremations, Ormond Beach, FL.

    To my sweet babe, I'll always remember the good times we had when I was there. Everytime I have my cup of jo I'll always think of you. Everytime I hear a bell I'll still want too come to you and seeing you laugh as I came to your beck and call. Ha!HA! Remembering the years growing up you were the sweetest sis any one could have.     Carla, you were one of my best friends all our life. I will miss you, until we meet again my friend. I know you are watching over your boys every day. You did an amazing job with them.     Oh sister how I miss you. I miss our talks everyday. I'm so blessed and grateful having a sister as you. You always had a big heart for anyone and some you tucked under your wings assuring them it'll be alright. You always found the words to make me feel better followed with laughter. You raised two beautiful boys that I can see so much of you in them. Oh yes, it's hard but knowing your at peace now takes my worries away knowing your alright now. I'll never know another other as I did you. My dearest sister I love you and yes I will still call you everyday and we'll chat.

    Carla, I am so blessed and thankful to have had you as my aunt, mom, friend, kids grandma and most of all my savior. You definitely have had the biggest impact in my life and have helped to shape me into the person that I am today. You are one person that has had an impact on many lives and have always opened your heart to anyone in need of love, friendship and guidance. I will always cherish the memories that we have created and will continue to make new ones in your honor with Cory and Kyle. Although I miss you greatly and miss our daily talks, I am at peace knowing that the pain is no more and that you are at peace with your dad and brother keeping you company. I love and miss you greatly and hope that you are laughing at us down here reminiscing over all of the great memories that we have of you. P.S. please send some more honey bees.

    So glad to have had you in my life Carla. You were a terrific mother, aunt and especially a friend to me. You left our world with many loving people around you and you were so happy as you were loved so very very much. You touched many of our hearts in a way that was so special and I am blessed to have that forever. God bless and enjoy your new world. I will see you again.
