In loving memory of Carol Lorraine Halladay 1927 – 2022

Carol L. Halladay was a kind loving Christian woman who passed away at 94 years of age on January 6, 2022 in Maitland Florida.

Carol was born at Partin Settlement in Osceola County Florida on December 3, 1927 to Charles Dewey Partin and Eunice Belle Milar (maiden name). Carol grew up during the depression. She skipped a year of school and graduated from high school to join the work force at the young age of sixteen. She did secretarial work for Gulf Oil Company and other companies until she was married. In later years Carol worked as a part time proctor for the testing industry for many years. She worked alongside her husband and enjoyed it very much.

Carol was very active at Delaney Street Church. She helped serve at dinners, taught children, and also helped with taking roll in Sunday school etc. Carol also helped others in need whenever she could.

Carol enjoyed time with her family. She loved to have family events and picnics at the park across the street from their house. She loved her husband Herb and they recently celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary.

She is survived by her two children, Glenn and Lloyd Halladay; 5 grandchildren, Susan Hernandez, David Halladay, John Halladay, Daniel Halladay, Mary Mathenia; and 10 great grandchildren. Carol is also survived by her niece Marion Van Loon.

Carol is preceded in death by her husband Herb, her sister Grace Boyer, and her brother Melvin Partin.

The legacy that Carol has left behind is a strong one of love, kindness, and devotion to God and family. She will be missed but her family rejoices that she is free of pain and rejoicing in heaven and with her husband Herb.

Services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 12:00pm at Delaney Church, 1919 Delaney Ave. Orlando FL 32806. Viewing will be available at 11:30. Although there will be no formal ceremony, Carol will be buried at Palm Cemetery in Winter Park after the service. Anyone that wishes to come attend the burial is invited.
