Carol J. (Compoli) Kimball (1946- 2019)
NEW SMYRNA BEACH, FLORIDA – Carol J. (Compoli) Kimball, 72, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 16, 2019 at Advent Health Hospital in New Smyrna Beach, Florida with her loving family by her side. She was born November 29, 1946 in Canastota, New York. The daughter of Arlene T. (Tefft) Compoli and the late Joseph J. Compoli from Canastota NY. As a resident of Canastota, she attended Canastota High School and was a patron of Saint Agatha Church in Canastota where she married Clayton O Kimball Jr. May 1st 1965 , and later moved to Oneida, New York. Carol and Clayton were blessed with three loving children, Michael L. Kimball of Oneida, Eric J. Kimball of Sherrill, and Andrea J Kimball of New Smyrna Beach, Florida while living in Oneida for more than 47 years. October 2012 Carol and Clayton moved to New Smyrna Beach, Florida where she lived until her passing.
Carol was employed by Oneida Silversmith Ltd retiring in 2007 with more than 20 years of service. After her retirement she developed a passion for garage sales and flea marketing with her family and friends. She also enjoyed socializing at her favorite restaurant “The Garlic” in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Carol loved to travel enjoying trips to Mexico, Italy etc. Favorite events of Carol’s included the annual Oneida High School class reunion, held at ‘The Villages’ in Florida and Boxing Hall of Fame weekend held in Canastota, New York, which she made a priority to attend annually.
She especially enjoyed having her children, their families and friends visit her in Florida on a regular basis.
Surviving are; her husband of 54 years Clayton O. Kimball Jr. of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, her mother, Arlene T. (Tefft) Compoli, 92, of Canastota, New York, one brother Joseph W. Compoli and sister-in law Sarah (Pratico) Compoli of Schenectady, New York, three children and spouses Michael L Kimball and Kristy (Weaver) Kimball of Oneida, Eric J. Kimball of Sherrill and Andrea J. Kimball of New Smyrna Beach, Florida., three grandchildren , Mycale Kimball, Janelle Kimball, and Kennedy Kimball, two step grandchildren, Mathew Harp and Analyse Renfer, one great step grandchild, Brantley Oakley, one niece, Mary (Compoli) Travis, several cousins, many in-laws along with her loving pet dog ‘Buford’. Carol was pre-deceased by her father, Joseph J Compoli in 1992.
Funeral services are being arranged by Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home of New Smyrna Beach, Florida and will be held at Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, located in Oneida, New York. Funeral arrangements are currently being finalized.
