Carol Joan Kotkin, 83, passed away peacefully on August 13, 2020 at Advent Health Hospice, Orlando, Florida. 

Born in Newark, New Jersey on November 21, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Margaret Edith Maxfield and Howard Joseph Maxfield and identical twin sister of Emily Gail Rubinstein who preceded her in death in June 2019.

Carol moved to Winter Park in June of 1971 and lived there until moving to Debary in 1996.  Carol was an administrative assistant with the Seminole County Public School system for 27 years.  Upon her retirement she pursued her passions of gardening, spending time with her family, and traveling with her husband, Fred, who was her soul mate for 53 wonderful years.  She also leaves behind 4 children: Jeffrey (Live), Janice (Dave), Jill and Michael (Summer); 8 grandchildren: Dustin, Tyler, Breta, Brittany, Julia, Jonah, Faith & Noah, and 2 great-grandchildren: Paisley and Reef.
