Carol A. Player died May 7, 2018 in The Villages, FL.  She was the beloved wife of Rodney A. Player.  She was born in New Haven on February 25, 1946.  Daughter of the late James W. and Frances Coughlin Ross.  Carol received a bachelor’s degree from Albertus Magnus and a master’s degree from SCSU.  She taught Spanish at Orchard Hill Jr. High for 16 years and then helped her husband at his company, where she remained until they retired.  She was an avid Red Sox and UCONN women’s basketball fan. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Kelly (Christian) Massaro and two grandchildren Christian and Ava Massaro.  Also, she is survived by siblings, James W. Ross of New Orleans, Robert F. Ross of Las Vegas and Elizabeth M. Whiting of Hamden, CT.  Funeral services will be private.
