Obituary
Carole Ruth (Wuethrich) Ropel, age 84, died peacefully at her home in the Villages, Florida, on February 3, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.
Carole is survived by Ronald, her beloved husband of 66 years; brother Alan Collins (Yvonne); children Beth Ropel (Joe Tomaszewski) and Tim Ropel (Gail); five grandsons, four great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and an abundance of friends.
Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on March 5, 1937, Carole graduated from Bay View High School in 1954.
Carole was employed for 43 years at a major Wisconsin bank, retiring as V.P. of Corporate Employee Benefits. She devoted countless hours to her churches in Wisconsin and Florida and was a leader in many Christian Women Organizations.
Carole cherished her wide circle of family and friends, and loved bringing people together for celebrations, birthdays, dinners, and playing games/cards.
A Memorial/Church Service will be held on Saturday May 21, 2022 at St. Stephen the Martyr Lutheran Church located at 6101 S. 51st St., Greendale, Wisconsin. Visitation from 9:30am – 11:45am, Service at 12:00 Noon. Luncheon to follow at Meyer’s Restaurant in Greenfield.
In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to St. Stephen the Martyr Lutheran Church, or WELCA (Women of the ELCA).
