Carolyn P. Smith, 73, of Daytona Beach died in her sleep Friday, April 9, 2010 at her home with her husband by her side. Carolyn was born August 4, 1936 in Ridgeway, PA. She married the love of her life, Richard in February 1957. They lived and raised their five children in Meadville, PA where she was a Crossing Guard for 25 years. Carolyn and the family have been going to Florida for vacation for the past 45 years to enjoy the beach and the sand between her toes. She spent many days as a Den Leader to her boys. She was a beautiful wife, loving mother and doting grandmother. Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband of 53 years, Richard “Dick”; three daughters, Sharon Bouck of Deltona, FL, Susan Fircz of New York and Laurie Markiewicz of Meadville,PA; son, Steve Smith of Oviedo, FL; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor Pringle Crenshaw, Helen Richards Schorting and Debbie Harvey. She was preceded in death by her son, Rick on October 30, 1991.
