Carolyn R. Sheets, 60, of Daytona Beach and formerly of Hamin, IN died Thursday, September 2, 2010 at her home with her daughters by her side. Carolyn was born October 25, 1949 in Osaka, VA. She lived in Hamin, Indiana before moving to Daytona Beach to be near her children. Carolyn was a member of the Black Oak Baptist Church where she enjoyed being involved in all church activities. She was a loving and giving woman who taught her children to be forgiving and to love life. She was known to her children’s friends as “Mamaws”. Carolyn was a mother to all of them and cared for them deeply. She loved children and the joy that a young child brings to life. Carolyn gave a courageous fight to her cancer for three years. She was honorable, strong and beautiful during this time. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Haley, two sisters, and a brother. Carolyn is survived by her devoted children, Susan Sheets and Debbie (Jeff) Langlois both of Daytona Beach and Milton Sheets IV of Kentucky; seven grandchildren, Brooke Langlois, Joshua Appleton, Steven Appleton, Amber Farley, Milton Sheets V and Jay Sheets and six siblings, Ronald Davis, Janice Kirkland, Pam Barsic, Connie Davis, Kathy Martin and Linda Goodwin.
