Obituary
A beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Carolyn Brown Ulrich (82), of Ormond Beach, Fl, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 10th surrounded by loved ones.
Originally from Rochester, NY, Carolyn was the eldest child of Robert and Ruth Brown. She graduated Seabreeze High in Daytona and attended St. Luke’s Nursing School in Jacksonville where she earned her Registered Nursing degree.
Carolyn devoted her life to caring for people. She worked many years as a recovery room nurse in California and retired as a nurse from Santa Clara County jail. Carolyn was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Ormond Beach. Carolyn was a loving and compassionate person who enjoyed spending time with her grandson and her friends. She lived life to the fullest through the simple pleasure of reading, bead crafting, and quilting beautiful blankets for her friends and family. Her family and her cats were always her focus in life.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents Robert T and Ruth (Pheltz) Brown.
She is survived by her son Gregory Ulrich of Bowdoinham, Maine, grandson Gavin Ulrich (Kati) of Rowlett, Texas, and brother Robert P Brown of Beacon, New York.
A private internment is being planned at Bellevue Memorial Cemetery.
