Obituary
Carolyn Sue Van Duzer (Stewart), died peacefully in Fort Myers, Florida at the age of 72. Carolyn is survived by her husband William H. Van Duzer of North Fort Myers, FL, her daughter Michelle Conner and her husband Rodney Conner of Bon Aqua, TN, her granddaughter Caitlin Conner of Greenville, NC, her grandson Jerrod Conner of Greenville, NC, her daughter Suzie Ramirez and her husband Eddie Ramirez, her grandson Nate Ramirez, her granddaughter Elliana Ramirez, her granddaughter Ava Ramirez, her granddaughter Isabella Ramirez all of Nashville, TN, her son Stewart Van Duzer and his wife Gloria Van Duzer of Chattanooga, TN, her granddaughter Carlee Van Duzer of Augusta, GA, her grandson Will Van Duzer and his wife Shanna Van Duzer of Woodbury, MN, her daughter Elizabeth Coon of Lehigh Acres, FL, her granddaughter Sarah Hornby and her husband Justin Hornby, her great granddaughter Margaret Hornby, her great granddaughter Noelle Hornby of Pauline, SC, her grandson Jon Coon of Pauline, SC, great granddaughter Liliana Coon of Fort Myers, FL, her grandson Aaron Coon of Pauline, SC, her sister Donna O’Neill and husband Bob O’Neill of North Fort Myers, FL, her sister Peggy Holt and her husband Lyndell Holt, of Sweetwater, NC, her brother Gordon Stewart and wife Nickie Stewart of North Fort Myers, FL. She is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Agnes Stewart.
Carolyn Sue Van Duzer was born on May 1, 1948 in Bushnell, Florida to parents, Albert and Agnes Stewart. She moved to Fort Myers, Florida and graduated from North Fort Myers High School in 1966. Carolyn was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
Carolyn was a social, active woman who was deeply involved in the Fort Myers Beach Lion’s Club and Women’s auxiliary and the Community of Fort Myers Beach, FL for the majority of her life. She was a volunteer for the Florida Lion’s Club Camp for the visually handicapped in Lake Wales, FL. Her family and friends will remember her for her kindness and grace and infectious smile.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 16, 2020, at Baldwin Brother’s Funeral & Crematorium by invitation only due to COVID-19 restrictions. The family would like to thank the Consulate Health Care of North Fort Myers, FL and the doctors and staff of Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, FL for their excellent care. The family wishes in lieu of flowers to please donate to Alzheimer’s Association (Alz.org) or the Fort Myers Beach Lion’s Club (fmblions.com).
