Catherine (“Cathy”) Louise Carey of Mount Dora, FL joined her Lord and Savior upon passing peacefully on July 3, 2022. Cathy was born to Harley and Dorothy Warren on their farm in Little Sioux, Iowa on November 4, 1928. She met her future husband, and the love of her life, Melvin “Dale” Carey while both were studying at the Chillicothe (MO) Business College after Dale returned from his service in WWII. They were married on April 16, 1948 and moved to Orlando, then to Temple Terrace in 1955 and then to Jacksonville in 1965. Dale passed in 2012 and in 2015 Cathy moved to Mount Dora, FL to be closer to her sons. Cathy built her career as a highly successful executive administrative assistant. Her love and devotion to her husband, her three sons and grandson and to her countless family members and friends were both awe-inspiring and exemplary. She was a truly wonderful person who will be missed. Heaven is shining brighter because of Cathy.
