Obituary

Cecelia Ann Ingraham, 95, of Howey in the Hills, FL, passed away May 29, 2018. She was born October 22, 1922 to Michael and Eva Guskey in Oxford, MA.

She is survived by a son, Robert N. Ingraham, daughter, Linda Bigos Oeky (James), 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert H. Ingraham, a sister, Beatrice Galvin and brothers, Bernard, Michael, George and Lawrence Guskey.

Cecelia was a Physical Education Teacher for 16 years. Her career as a PE teacher and coach helped her to express her love for all sports. She was simply known by her students as “LADY” and appropriately so. After five years of coaching basketball and softball at Bartlett High School in Webster, MA, she moved to Woodstock Academy in Woodstock, CT. There she coached many championships in basketball, softball, soccer and volleyball. She was inducted into the initial Woodstock Academy Hall of Fame in 2012.

She was a well-rounded sportswoman. Family was her first love, but golf was a close second. She won 52 Club Championships in Howey at the Mission Inn, in Connecticut at the Raceway Country Club, and in Dudley, MA at Nichols College Golf Club.

In 1978, she and her husband, Bob, became snowbirds, residing in Howey in the Hills, FL during the winter. During the summer and fall she worked in the golf pro shop at Raceway Country Club in Connecticut.

Cecelia loved and is loved by her Church Community. There was a Memorial Service Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Grace Evangelical Presbyterian Church.

Burial is private and at the descretion of her family at a later time.
