Obituary

Charles Alva Shultz, 91, of Silver Springs, Florida, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at a hospital in Ocala, Florida, with his loved ones by his side. He was born January 8, 1929, in Dayton, Ohio. He was the son of the late Sherman H. Shultz and Myrtle V. Shultz, and was also raised by his stepmother, Adelaide Shultz. Charles was raised in Dayton, Ohio. then in 1956 he moved to Miami, Florida, where he met his wife and started his beloved family. Charles is survived by his devoted wife and companion Barbara A. Shultz of 63 years, married in 1957. They have four children and raised their eldest granddaughter together as their own. They have a total of six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of whom he is survived by.

Grandchildren-Tiffany A. (Shultz) Rhodes & her husband Kenya of Miami, FL, Kenneth M. Zingaro of Farmersville, TX, Nicholas A. Scott, Thomas M. Kidd, Veronica E. Kidd and Anna M. Kidd, all of Dayton, OH.
Great-grandchildren–Jaylen Lanier, Skye A. Rhodes and Zhyan A. Rhodes all of Miami, FL.

Charles is also survived by his sister, Phyllis (Shultz) Williams, his brothers- Gerald D. Shultz & wife Donna, Ronald Shultz & wife Edna, his sisters-in law- Dolly Shultz & Geraldine M. Shultz
and many friends who were dear to his heart-Jim & Julie McDainiel, Tom P. Kidd, Ronnie & Pat Drake, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors, church family and friends of many years.

Charles was a hard working man who was self employed. He cherished his family and was devoted to them. He loved nature and being outdoors. His favorite pastimes included camping, fishing and nature walks. This made great memories not only for him and his family, but for many close friends of the family. He enjoyed crossword puzzles and writing in his journal. He loved his little chihuahua, Bella. Most of all he loved the Lord and read his Bible faithfully.

He is now with our Heavenly Father!
Along with his parents, Sherman, Myrtle and Adelaide, sisters- Juanita (Shultz) Motschman & her husband Francis D. Motschman, & Alice (Shultz) Wilt, brothers- Earl Shultz & Harold Shultz and brother-in-law- James Elton Williams.

Memorial Service will be held
Friday, January 8, 2021
2:00pm-4:00pm
