Cid Brooks Beck (Charlie)

Born in San Antonio Texas
Parents William and Idalia.
Charlie grew up in Pacific Palisades California, then joined the Air Force after high school in 1953. He was stationed in Minneapolis with N.A.T.O. in 1954, where he met his life long love Carol.
They married in June of 1955 and were rarely apart in their 67 years together.
They moved back to California where Charlie started a career at Douglas Aircraft.
A few years later, they made a move back to his birthplace, San Antonio where he was employed at George C. Vaughn.
A new opportunity then followed, and Charlie, Carol and their two sons moved back to Minnesota.
Charlie spent the next 33 years with Thiele Engineering started as a machinist and retired as former Chief Engineer and lastly Director of research and development.
In 1994, a permanent move was made to Naples Florida where he followed all his passions. His love of boating, sailing, golf, tennis and gardening suited him well in the sunshine state.
Charlie also had a love for planning travel adventures for he and Carol, building wonderful memories.
Charlie was also an active member of his church, helping where needed.
He made so may wonderful friends over the years.
He is survived by wife Carol, son’s John and Jeff, daughter Stacy and son in law Mark. In addition, six wonderful grandchildren and five great grandchildren, sister Barbara, and his kitties.
