Obituary
Charles David Phillips , 83, of Ocala, Florida passed away October 18, 2018. He was born to the late Leonard and Elizabeth Reese Phillips on December 3, 1934 in Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Charles was a proud member of the United States Marine Corp and served his country during The Korean Conflict. Charles was a die-hard Georgia Bulldogs fan, held memberships in the Elks Lodge # 2605 in Orange Park, Florida, General Geiger Marine detachment in Middleburg, Florida, and St. Micheal’s and all Angels Anglican Church in Fleming Island, Florida. He enjoyed growing and caring for roses and was active with the Marines Toys for Tots program. Charles was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Scott Phillips and survived by his loving wife, LaMora; daughters, Lisa C. Phillips of Long Island, New York and Christy L. Phillips of St. Petersburg, Florida; son, Todd Keith Phillips of Weatherly, Pennsylvania; step daughters, Patti Molhan of Ocala, Florida, Sherri Ann Beuchert of Palm Harbor, Florida and Mary Nell Hohn of Green Cove Springs, Florida; step son, Bert Bates of Fleming Island, Florida; 1/2 sister, Lenore Phillips Scott of Danbury, Connecticut; 1/2 brother, Billy Phillips of Danbury, Connecticut; 11-grandchildren and 8-great grandchildren
The family is planning a Celebration of Life Service at St. Michael’s and All Angels Anglican Church 5041 Lakeshore Drive West Orange Park, Florida 32003 (904-705-3614) Saturday November 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM with reception to follow immediately after the Celebration.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Diabetes Foundation and/or Hospice of Clay County Florida.
