Obituary

Charles “Chuck” Lins Mueller, 79, of Fort Myers, FL passed away on January 4, 2024. He was fondly referred to as “Pug”.
He is survived by his Son, Charlie (Cindee) Mueller, of Naples, FL; Son, Andy (Beth) Mueller, of Tulsa, OK; Son, Marc Mueller, of Champaign, IL; 5 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren; His brother, Bill (Karen) Mueller, of Ft Myers, FL and sister Lou Ann (John) Piehl of Ft Myers, FL and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and loving wife, Sharon Stevens Mueller, his high school sweetheart, and wife of 52 years who passed away in 2019.
Chuck was born in Elmhurst, IL, to parents Charles and Joan Mueller. He graduated from Parsons College with a degree in Business. He worked for Sears & Roebuck out of Richmond, IN which eventually led him to relocate to new cities holding various management positions. He made many lifelong friends around the Midwest, including Lansing, MI, Sandusky, OH and Bourbonnais, IL and eventually retired in Fort Myers, FL with his wife Sharon who he married in 1966.
Chuck enjoyed nothing more than working in his yard and spending time with friends and family. He enjoyed golf, the 19th hole, a couple of hands of liar’s poker and to come home to a perfectly grilled rare steak. In his later years, he loved listening to Frank Sinatra and sipping on his Manhattan’s. His family and friends will always remember him as someone who never met a stranger and created fun and friendships everywhere he went. He lost his voice in his later years, but his personality was larger than life and rang out with his facial expressions, hand gestures and notes on his white board that he carried around with him.
The family would like to thank Hope Hospice for their support and care during his final journey.
