Obituary

Charles R. Breeze DOB 11-26-35, also known as Dick
He was born in Mattoon, Illinois and lived in Decatur, Illinois. Graduated from Decatur Highschool in 1955.
He was in the Naval Reserves. In 1956 he married Nanci L Vigneri, in 1957 they had a son Richard Leslie Breeze
They relocated to Fort Myers, Florida in 1958, His family built and operated the Dog N Suds on US 41.
In 1960 Dick joined Ft Myers City Police Dept. and served for 7 years and their daughter was born, Kathie-Lyn (Breeze) Carmichael. He then joined the Tice Fire District 1975, retiring in 1998.

Dick loved the outdoors and all of nature. He shared this love with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He would walk through the everglades taking in it’s beauty and danger, learning the land. Then go home and create charcoal sketching’s of what he saw. In later years he captured this beauty using cameras.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Providing meat for his family when times were lean and sharing with neighbors’ and friends.

Dick was an honorable and loyal man. Always looking for a way to better himself and those around him. If you were in need and he was able to assist he would. His time serving as an officer of the law and a fireman allowed him to do just that, helping those in need or distress.
