Obituary
Charles Wayne Waters, 87, passed away Friday, March 11 in Ocala, Florida. He was born in Evansville, Indiana on September 16, 1934 but spent much of his adult life in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a Material Control Manager for McDonnell Douglas for 37 years before retiring and moving to Harrison, AR where he worked for ten years as an insurance agent for Nationwide Insurance. He was also a volunteer on the community patrol for the Marion County Florida Sheriff’s office. He was an avid Hoosier fan and loved to play basketball and softball. He loved to play golf and travel. He traveled to 48 states including Alaska and Hawaii plus Finland and Israel.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Harrison, AR
He is proceeded in death by his mother, Ruby Quick, father Charles Waters and step fathers Monroe (Pappy) Hammond and Ray Quick, two sisters, Donna Sue Mason and Charlotte Pratte, grandson, Zachary Huggins.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Phyllis, three daughters, Pam (Duane) Huggins, Patty (Richard) Browning, Robin Strickland, three sons, John (Wendy) Jacobi, James (Tammy) Jacobi, Mark Jacobi, sister Melody Elam, brother Harold Waters, 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Family and Friends are invited to a Memorial Service for Wayne on Friday, March 18, 2022 at 10:00 am at Baldwin Brothers Timber Ridge Chapel, 11250 SW 93rd Ct. Rd., Ste 300, Ocala, FL 34481.
