Obituary

Cherie Daigle, 70, of New Smyrna Beach, passed away on March 17, 2024. She was surrounded by loved ones at the time of her passing.

Born on October 27. 1953, Cherie was the daughter of William and Barbara Walsh. Her younger years were spent with her mother, sister, and family in Louisiana. After graduating from St. Rita Catholic High School, Cherie went to study at Nichols State University, where Cherie met her first love, Scott Daigle. They married on June 9th, 1979 and went on to have two children, Kyle Wellington Daigle and Danielle Cherie Daigle.

Cherie pursued a career with Amtrak Auto Train. She began her work in New Orleans and eventually transferred to their Sanford, Florida location.

Living near the beach a dream fulfilled for Cherie. During her years in the New Smyrna Beach are, she enjoyed friendships with co-workers, daily life with her grandkids and cherished time with her partner, Patrick Gron.

Throughout her life, Cherie had a passion for listening to great music, enjoying a day at the beach, cooking delicious meals, and spending time with those she loved. Cherie will be remembered by her family and friends for her timeless beauty, humor, and love.

Cherie was preceded in death by her parents William and Barbara Walsh. She is survived by her children Kyle Daigle, Danielle Daigle (Chad), Grandchildren Jayden, Carter and Ariana Edwards, and sister Kim Williamson (Dave).
