Cheryl was my Step-sister. I am sorry that I was only able to know her in the past decade of her life after her mom married my dad. I will always remember her for the pure love and selflessness she gave to her mother in her mother's last years. The long hours she spent with her mother, Bernice, were endless and she had little time for herself. I witnessed this with my own eyes each time I went to visit dad and Bernice. Even when my own dad was getting weaker with time, she spent many upon many days with him taking him places and showing him the same love she had given to her own mother. I will always be grateful to her for being a pure soul. She will have a place with God forever for her love and devotion to others. I am honored to have known her.

Cheryl, I will miss the ride we would have taken together, the challenges you would have presented me. May you rest peacefully in God's love.
