Obituary

New Smyrna Beach – Cheryl Lynn Carson, a long-time resident of New Smyrna Beach, died Wednesday the 11th of January in the loving presence of her immediate family and in the comfort of her own home.

Born in 1945 in Newark, N.J., Cheryl lived every day with the hope, faith and excitement that came from His blessings. Her selfless guidance and sacrifice throughout her life directed a trail of successes that extended far beyond her family to friends across 9 states and multiple countries.

Cheryl’s devoted attention, love and care to her surviving husband (Colonel Frank L Carson, Ret.) was first sparked when they met in late 1966 and married on April 19th, 1967. Their adventures spanned the inspirational sights from the highest snow covered mountains to the most pristine coral reefs.  She met all challenges as the wife of her fighter pilot which only brought further strength to their amazing bond and passion for living.  She will surely be comforted observing from above that her warm web and power of goodness in life continues to bind the family even after her passing.

Cheryl’s surviving children (Michael, David & Rashell), her surviving grandchildren (Pierce, Davin, Trinity, Ariel, Eliana, Benjamin, Katie, Sara, William, Laurel, & Anna) and her great grandchild (Rowan) absorbed her every rousing sunrise and filled her dreams at every quiet sunset.  She is also survived by her younger sister, Bobbie Ellen.

Cheryl’s remarkable charity never ended and her wish for any condolences would be that you  alleviate any sorrow and instead fill it with affection, prayer and kindness to those closest around you. She would also want Him to bless each and every one of you.  She will be greatly missed.
