Obituary

Christina Marie Finigan (Huffman), age 46, died on November 4, 2022, in Sanford, Florida at HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital.

Christy was born on June 13, 1976, in Beaver County, Pennsylvania to Floyd and Alice Huffman.  She graduated from Deland High School in 1995.  In 2008 she accepted a position as The Propane Queen at Florida Public Utilities, where she worked for more than 17 years and where she met her bonus son, Cory Breski.

Christy loved her grandbabies more than anything and was blessed when they named her “NeNe.”  She also enjoyed going out with friends, music, and for the last three years, being a member of Stilettos on Steel where she gained her road name, “Squirrel.”

Christy is survived by her father, Floyd Huffman, three brothers and five sisters as well as her children, Tyler Huffman, David “Fred” Finigan Jr. and Ashley Breski, four grandbabies, Brentley Breski, Bentley Breski, Nevaeh Pasco and Skylar Breski as well as her “person,” Alan Westover.

Christy, Squirrel, NeNe, Aunt Red, a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, friend and “his person.”

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 between the hours of 6:00pm and 8:00pm.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Christina’s life.

Christy I will forever miss you, you have been a integral part of my life for well over 30 years and nothing makes this loss easier. I wanted to come be with you and give you your final ride as you deserve but this hurricane left a storm in its path all the way to my front door. I have spoke with Alan and i will be with him to give you your final ride where you wanted to be laid to rest. I love you and miss you fireball.

Christy, thank you for being who you are and an inspiration to a new Propane employee within FPUC. I still remember a day in 2015, when I first joined the organization, and you provided a few pointers of the Do's and Don'ts within FPU and visited WPB for about a week or so to grace the team with your knowledge. You were the go getter, the person everyone goes to for questions and whether or not you had the answer, you always found one. A rare gem I must say. I will miss our emails and chats about family and grandkids. Gone but never forgotten. Rest In Peace. Prayers and condolence to the family!

I’ve known Christy for as long as she worked at FPUC, she was always so dedicated to her family and kids and so proud of the adults they have become. She had pictures of her Grand babies all over her “Purple” themed office. She had a way with words “lively” ones too ..but she always made everyone laugh. You either liked her or feared her, but one thing for sure, you didn’t want to make her go “Red” on you. I will always remember you and my heart will smile . You were taken away from us way too soon, but I guess The Big Man upstairs has a special assignment for you ♥️..R.I.P. Christy

Christy- I had the privilege to meet and work with you since 2006 and I learned really quick that you loved life, and you loved your job in propane. You always worked to please everyone, regardless of what department they worked in, and you would always put others first. Because of this the DeBary team and FPU Family looked up to you in so many ways, a co-worker, a friend, a family member.
You are truly missed Christy and I look forward to the day when you and I can chat again about propane.

Now get on that Harley and crank up the tunes and ride my friend!

Christy has been a good and true friend for years. She would stay the night at my house and we shared a lot with each other. My parents drove semi for a living and because her dad did as well she understood the life. My mom and dad loved her like another daughter. I will miss you a lot sweet friend but I know you are in heaven and I will see you there someday.

Christy was a force to be reckoned with. Some would say stubborn, I like the word tenacious. She was a friend, co-worker, and a wind sister. She loved her person, friends and family fiercely.
Our common bond was a love of motorcycles and the understanding that being in the wind can wash away all the worries and stress that life sometimes throws at you. Work Bike Balance!!
I am going to miss you but have many awesome memories in my heart to remember you by. I will love you forever & always! Ride with the Angels beautiful girl, until we meet again.

We are all still a bit in shock that you're gone, yet we rejoice that you are with God and his son Jesus Christ. All of us here at FPU will miss you. You were always on top of things, and very detail oriented in everything you did. It's hard to find great people in this world, I found you to be one of those, and I'm blessed to have worked with you over the years. My heartfelt condolences to your Family.

She was taken from us too soon, and too quickly. Her family was blessed, as was she. I’ll miss her big smile and goofy stories, and riding the back roads of Florida with her and our motorcycle friends. I’ll never forget my favorite squirrel...

I will always remember Christy for her determination to make everyone happy. We worked together at FPU. Sometimes she would pull off the ‘impossible’ request to make sure I got the sale! But, something tells me she pulled off the ‘impossible’ at home, as well. She had an incredible work ethic, and great compassion for her friends and family. Gone way too soon, Christy leaves us with beautiful memories.
