On Tuesday, January 18, 2022, Christine C DePietro – Donahue, loving wife and mother of two, passed away peacefully at the age of 69. She was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 17, 1952. Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Grace DePietro, and her brother Anthony DePietro Jr. Christine is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Donahue Sr., and her adored children Michelle Donahue and Jerry Donahue Jr., her sister Linda Malen (Michael), and her nephew Michael Malen. She was passionate about many things; mostly her close friends any family. Christine was like a “second mom” to a number of her children’s friends, always adding laughter and humor to any situation. She fiercely loved her late beagle, Toby, and is now most likely feeding too many treats. She enjoyed spending the summer vacationing with family and friends down the Jersey Shore. She would sit on the beach for hours, enjoying hotdogs and Fudgie-Wudgie bars. Christine loved to entertain; her home was always filled with constant company, and with enough food and snacks for all. She was loved by so many and will be eternally missed.

The family will hold private memorials with friends and family in FL. Her children are planning an additional ceremony in the Media, PA, area at a later date.  Condolences may be left at https://baldwincremation.com/obituaries/christine-donahue/

I grew up with Chris as a second mom. Fifth grade through college and beyond. She truly was another mom to me as I was growing up. She was such a wonderful person. I have so many fond memories. Big Jerry, Michelle, and Jerry - I hope you know how many peoples lives she impacted and that those thoughts comfort you during this difficult time.

Jerry, Michelle, and Jerry Jr., I’m so sorry for your loss. Chris and I used to go Christmas shopping on Black Friday when you children were little and we always had a blast. I remember taking Chris, Michelle, Jerry, and my Tommy and Jessica out to look at Christmas lights. And our camping trips in my pop up camper! Oh what fun we had! I have so many fun, fond memories. I had hoped to renew our friendship now that I’m in Florida, only about an hour away. It saddens me to know I won’t be able to see that hope come through, but maybe we can get together with Jerry when we come to the Villages next month. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs and love to you all.
