Obituary

Christine Marie Stockton, 66, of Sarasota died Thursday, March 1, 2012 in Orlando, FL.  Christine was born December 27, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan.  She graduated from Northeast High School in St. Petersburg, Class of 1963 and married on July 4, 1964 at St. Jude’s Catholic Church, St. Petersburg, FL.  She lived in different cities and states but she enjoyed her house in Sarasota, where she moved in 1986.  This is when she began her career as a paralegal with many different laws firms in the area.  She last worked for the law firm of Chapman, Chapman & Chapman of Sarasota.  Christine is survived by three loving sons, David and daughter-in-law, Cindy Stockton of Riverview, FL, Steven and daughter-in-law, Patty Stockton of Atlanta, GA and William  and Glenna Stockton of Oklahoma; one adored grandson, Nicholas of Atlanta, GA; three sisters, Diane Arnold, Sherry Driggers and Janis Smith and two brothers, John and Scott Smith.  A life celebration will be held 11AM, Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Palms-Roberts Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Sarasota.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.    In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.     A life celebration will be held 11AM, Saturday, March 31, 2012 at Palms-Roberts Funeral Home & Memorial Park, Sarasota.

    Kitty, I still can't believe you are gone. You were taken too soon but you are no longer suffering. I will always remember your sense of humor and your contagious laughter. I miss you and I enjoyed our last two visits very much. You were so courageous with your battle and never complained, although I can only imagine what you were really going through. Thank you for being the sister you were. I love you.
