Obituary

Christine Podgorski, 81 of Titusville, FL (Swan Lake) passed away on October 13, 2020 after an 18-year battle with cancer and a month-long hospital stay.

Christine was born September 20, 1939 to Vincent and Sophia Parks in Rochester, New York. She graduated from Mercy Highschool and later went on to work in the medical field at Park Ridge Hospital amongst other workplaces. She was a member of St. Stanislaus and the Polish Club in Rochester where she danced on many occasions with her husband Walter Podgorski. Walter and Christine were soulmates and were married 60 years this past April.

Christine is survived by her beloved husband Walter Podgorski as well as her three daughters ; Diane Springer of Rochester, NY; Linda Spampanato of Cape Canaveral, FL and Suzanne (James) McDowell of Melbourne, FL. She was a loving Grandmother to Sophia (Nick) Chambers; Stephani (James) Dill; Austin McDowell; Sarah (Harley) Fowler; Mackenzi Springer; Allison McDowell and Victor Spampanato. She also deeply adored her great-grandchildren; Peyton, Maci, Brantley, Madisyn, Jaxon, James and Grey.

Her memory, caring and gentle nature and warm embrace will live on through all that knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a contribution if you wish to the American Cancer Society in Christine’s honor.

We love you so much for the wonderful wife, mother and (great)grandmother that you are. Always.

There’s a special place in all of our hearts for our mothers, just like there’s a special place in every mother’s heart for her children , grandchildren and great grandchildren. Continue to carry her memory in that special place in your heart. She’ll always be with you all.

My deepest sympathies to all of you. Mr. Podgorski I hope you will surround yourself with the love of your family and take each day forward with a happy heart for the special love you have shared.

    Love to all.
