We regretfully announce the passing of Christine Ruth Rupert, 63, of Orlando, FL. Chris passed away on September 18, 2021.
Chris was born to Herbert and Beverly Rupert on November 10, 1957 in Syracuse, NY. An independent and vibrant personality from the beginning, Chris proudly served her country in the US Army and represented the USA in the 1988 Paralympics earning gold and bronze medals in track and field activities.
Over the years, Chris was a manager of Prosthetics for the Veterans Administration and an Executive Director of a service dog organization, Canine Working Companions, in Upstate NY. She enjoyed spending time with family, cruising, and loved animals.
Chris is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Steve Raymond, her grandchildren Christian Mobley, Rachel Mobley, Abigail Rock, Sydney Rock, Hunter Raymond, Declan Raymond, her siblings Patricia Schaffhouser, Lawrence Rupert, Michael Rupert, and several nieces, nephews and extended family. Chris is predeceased by her parents and stepfather.
