Obituary
Christopher Kalinowski died suddenly and unexpectedly in his home in Leesburg, FL on September 10, 2023. He was 71 years old.
Chris was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 15, 1952. His family moved to Michigan when he was 11 years old. In 1972 he graduated from Henry Ford Community College with an associate’s degree in electronics. He worked at Ford and Visteon as an electronics technologist for 30 years before retiring in 2003.
He was previously married to Shirley and they had one daughter, Kimberely. He married Teresa in 1985. After Teresa retired in 2007, they moved to Leesburg, Florida.
Chris loved dogs and volunteered at the Lake County Animal Shelter for several years. He loved his miniature schnauzers (they had 13 in total over the years) and his dogs Chloe, Roscoe, Gordie, Kittie, and Maya miss him very much.
He got his ham radio license in 2016 and was a member of the Lake Amateur Radio Association.
Chris is survived by his wife, Teresa, brother David (Chantal), sister-in-law Pam Tabor (Bruce), nieces and nephews Amy Senczyszyn (Glen), Shaun Kalinowski (Lisa), Jeremy Tabor (Sanja), Emily Cartmill (Ryan) and and Bryan Tabor (Jenny). He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Kimberely.
There will be a Mass at 8:30 am on September 18 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Leesburg, FL. A memorial service in Michigan will be held sometime in the next few months.
