Obituary

Christopher “Bubba” Langston, 39, passed away unexpectedly on September 18, 2021. He was born to Travis Langston and Tami Ezell on May 3, 1982 in Leesburg, FL. He was a Class of 2000 graduate of Winter Park High School. He bravely served 2 tours in Iraq and 1 tour in Afghanistan with a very special group known as the Navy Explosive Ordinance Disposal. After his service in the Navy ended he attended, and graduated from, the University of Delaware in 2013 with a degree in Engineering. With that and the experience he gained in the Navy, he went on to become an engineer with Navair, working on Navy fighter jets. Most recently he was working for NASA as a Pad Deputy Element Operations Manager. He was also a part of many organizations that included the Wounded Warriors EOD Foundation, Service Dog Organization, Moose Lodge, A Helping Hand, Boat USA and Kars Park. Several of his hobbies included golfing, scuba diving, surfing, sailing, rock climbing, cycling, jet boarding, kite surfing, snowboarding and being a foodie.
Christopher is survived by his loving mother and stepfather, Tami Ezell (John Nelson) of The Villages, FL; his loving father, Travis Langston of Roswell, GA; his brother, Stephen (Candy) Langston of Tavares, FL; his grandmother, Janette Langston of Roswell, GA; his nephew, Raymond Langston, his nieces, Rachael and Baylee Langston; his beloved dog, Cooper, his special friend, Kris Martin; a very large extended family, and a network of friends all who loved him dearly. He will be missed by many. A gathering and celebration of his life was held on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home, 1008 Bichara Boulevard, The Villages, FL 32159. Following cremation, his ashes will be laid to rest at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, American Cancer Society or the Humane Society.
