Clara Ida Brewer (Macciomei), 91, of Mount Dora, Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3, 2011. Clara was born May 8, 1920 in Ambridge, Pennsylvania to Guido Giuseppe and Josephina Macciomei, shortly after the family immigrated to the United States from Italy. She spent much of her life in Michigan where she raised her sons. Clara retired to Apopka, Florida in 1976 with her husband Frank, where she enjoyed playing golf, enjoying the company of her friends and volunteering for Florida Hospital. She was a member of the P.E.O. sisterhood for over 30 years. She spent the last five years residing at the Waterman Village in Mount Dora where she was an active participant in the community, known and loved by all. She is survived by her sons Ronald (Diane) Bryant of Greenville, South Carolina; Gary Brewer of Winter Park, Florida; and Dennis (Sandy) Brewer of Auburn Hills, Michigan; Stepsons Lee Ross (Tricia) Brewer of Klamath Falls, Oregon; and Jerry Brewer of Flint, Michigan; nine granddaughters Amy, Lindsay, Casey, Christine, Kellie, Renee, Jana, Kim, Ronalyn and one grandson Todd; and 4 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial donations be made to Cornerstone Hospice of Taveres, Florida or the Central Florida Council of Boy Scouts of America
A memorial service will be held for Clara at the Waterman Village on November 12, 2011 at 2 p.m.
