Clare Joan Brown McAffee, 91, of Ocklawaha, Florida, died in her home on Friday, July 20, 2018, surrounded by her family.  Born in Norristown, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late John Joseph Brown and the late Margaret S. Albright Brown and the youngest of seven children. She graduated from Norristown High School in 1945.

On June 4, 1949, Clare married John Ambrose McAffee, who preceded her in death on March 26, 1995 and her son, Eber, who died on March 24, 1998.  Also preceding her in death were her sisters, Catherine Brown Neishloss, Dorothy Brown Himel, Rita Brown Ciccarelli, and brothers, Paul Brown and Carl Brown.

Clare was a loving mother who was caregiver for her son, Eber, until he passed away.  She loved to roller skate, knit, do puzzles and visit with her extended family.

Surviving are her sister, Marjorie B. Rigg of Norristown, Pennsylvania; her daughter, Rosemary Huf and husband, Paul, of Ocklawaha, Florida; her son, David McAffee, of Ocklawaha, Florida; four grandchildren: Julia Pry and her husband, Keith, Brian Huf of Denver, Colorado, Erin Stoltzfus and her husband, Josh, of Lincoln University, Pennsylvania, and Andrew Huf and his wife, Amy Smith, of Wallace, North Carolina; and ten great grandchildren.

A Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. on 9/09/2018 at St. Joseph in the Forest Mission Catholic Church in Silver Springs, Florida.  Burial will be in the Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pennsylvania.
